The morning started out a little wet and the 8 members who decided to do the cruise were a little apprehensive but as we neared Brooklyn the weather changed and we had a glorious day. After boarding we were given morning tea or coffee and Anzac biscuits and very nice biscuits they were!
As we cruised, the gave us a very comprehensive commentary of the places we passed and the happenings on the river in days gone by. He was very knowledgeable and kept up a very comprehensive commentary for most of the cruise.
The Ploughmans lunch was very nice ham, salad, pickles and with a very nice rather large bread bun This was followed by chocolates.
The weather that day was lovely, calm waters, blue sky, plenty of sunshine and very pleasant company. I’m sorry more people did not come but it rather a difficult place to get to, especially the steps at the railway station.
